Create/Delete a Clone of a Power BI Report

Creating Cloned Reports

TABS Insight portal allows you to clone existing Power BI reports so that you can edit them to suit your needs. The directions below outline how to clone an existing Report.

NOTE: Only users with Creator level access can create clones and/or create folders. Users with Editor level access can edit a cloned report but cannot create a clone.

  1. Open the report you would like to clone then click the gear icon above the right-hand corner of the report.  Select Clone Report from the list.
  2. Name the report and select the folder you would like to save the new report to (note the option to create a new folder).

  3. The cloned report will open. You will see an option to edit the report. This will allow users with Editor and Creator level access to edit the report as needed.
  4. Any cloned report can be deleted by clicking the gear and selecting delete.
