Connected Excel Requirements

Requirements

TABS uses Azure Analysis Services to host our data models and enable real-time analytics. If you would like to interact with our live data using Connected Excel, you must have the correct Microsoft Client Library installed on your computer. Installing this library enables Excel to connect to our Azure Analysis Services model(s). It is a standard Excel library and is not customized for TABS in any way.

Check Your Excel Version
The minimum Excel version that will work Analysis Services is Excel is 2016. Check the Excel/Office version by navigating to File > Account. Check Product Information in the top right hand corner.  If you have Microsoft O365 or Excel 2016 or higher your Excel version should be compatible as long as the Client Libraries below have been updated.

Download the Microsoft Client Libraries

Install the client libraries from Microsoft from the Microsoft docs page, here.  Microsoft keeps this page updated so that you can always find the most recent version. Install both 64-bit (amdx64) and 32-bit (x86) versions. The image below shows the MSOLAP libraries that need to be installed.
